Yesterday I was exploring some diverse fashion choices, and the topic of men wearing sarongs came up. It’s a garment that has deep roots and is still worn every day by men across many cultures—from Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands to East Africa. In these regions, it’s a symbol of cultural identity, comfort, and tradition. It's often as commonplace for men to wear a sarong as it is for us to wear jeans!

However, we all know that the view can be a bit different, for people bought up in Western cultures. Often, when we see a man in a sarong, people make assumptions. It can be seen as "not right," or instantly labeled as effeminate, leading to stereotypes that just don't match up with its origins or its versatile appeal.
