𝐋𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 — 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐰𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐚𝐬 𝐂𝐮𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐬 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬.

Volunteers and supporters worked together to remove waste from the coastline and help protect one of Trinidad’s most important natural spaces. Beaches like Las Cuevas are not only places of beauty, they are also critical habitats for wildlife.

𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐞𝐚-𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐝 & 𝐓𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐠𝐨, which runs until August 31st. During this time, several species of sea turtles return to our shores to lay their eggs, making the protection of these beaches especially important.

Our clean-up also came just ahead of 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟑𝐫𝐝, a global reminder of the responsibility we share to protect wildlife and the ecosystems that support them. Efforts like this help safeguard nesting grounds and ensure that future generations of sea turtles can continue to return to our shores.

The day also marked the official launch of two new Caribbean-driven initiatives:

𝐩𝐡ē𝐯𝐚 — a lifestyle clothing brand rooted in Caribbean rhythm, movement, and purpose, reflecting culture as something lived every day.

CEAL GREEN 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 — a company focused on helping organisations and communities transition to cleaner, more efficient energy systems while reducing their environmental impact.

What began as a beach clean-up became something more — a moment of connection, environmental stewardship, and the start of a shared journey toward a more sustainable future.
