As I share the final part of this worship visual, my heart is filled with gratitude.

Thank you to everyone who watched, shared, reposted, commented, and supported this project. What may have looked like a dance video was truly a prayer, an act of worship, and a glimpse into the vision God has placed in my heart.

This is the beginning of PAFA — Parris Academy of Fashion and Arts, a creative space where gifts are cultivated, excellence is pursued, and Jesus Christ remains at the center.

Special thanks to Arlene Frank Colis and Joshua Modest for capturing this vision so beautifully, and to everyone who has encouraged me along the way.

What Is Your ‘It’?

Sunday’s service was a wake-up call—a reminder of why I’m here and what God has called me to do. The guest speaker, anointed by God, posed a question that reminded me: “What is your ‘it’?” What is the vision, the purpose, the reason God placed you on this earth or in your particular job?

He reminded us that life isn’t about our personal enjoyment; it’s about fulfilling God’s purpose. Every day is an opportunity to ask, “God, what will You have me do today? How can I do Your will and Your work?” He stressed the urgency of finishing the race and not delaying because there are people waiting—souls waiting—to know Jesus. The more we delay, the more we delay others from finding their Savior.

I made a promise and a covenant with God: I will not leave this earth without finishing my race. I will not leave without winning souls for His Kingdom. Every day, I live by this. This life is not about me; my joy comes later when I’m with Christ—where there’s no sickness, no confusion, no wickedness…..

Jermaine Edwards’ song “Your Presence” speaks to my heart: “I’m willing to trade the world, so I can be with You forever. This world is not my home; just passing through.” I hold onto that truth daily.

I’m here for His purpose, not mine. And with His strength, I’ll complete the work He’s given me to do. Let’s finish the race together.

With that being said I’m here to remind you of PAFA’s Vision. In three words:

1️⃣ Kids Sew Cute & First Threads (combined): Perfect for beginner sewers and returning students (ages 5-8).
🗓️ Dates: Sundays, October 27th - December 1st
💲 Cost: $360 (materials not included)
📍 6 sessions

2️⃣ Dance Classes (ages 5-17): Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, come dance with us!
🗓️ Dates: Saturdays, November 2nd - December 7th

Meet Johanna Parris, the heart and soul behind Parris Academy of Fashion and Arts (PAFA). From her early days dancing in pampers at just 6 months old, Johanna’s passion for dance and the arts has only grown stronger. With over 24 years of experience, including qualifications from the prestigious Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) and Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), along with a Bachelor’s in Fashion Design from Kent State University, she brings a wealth of knowledge and creativity to PAFA.

Her vision for PAFA is clear: to create a nurturing environment where students of all ages can develop their artistic talents while deepening their relationship with God. Through her leadership, Johanna is committed to preparing generations upon generations of artists, equipping them with the skills to make a lasting impact in their craft and the world.

We are beyond excited to officially launch PAFA - Parris Academy of Fashion and Arts! 🎉✨ This is more than just an arts school; it’s a movement to inspire, empower, and shape generations of creative minds.

At PAFA, we are equipping students of all ages with the skills and passion to excel in fashion design, dance, music, visual arts, and theatre arts, all while deepening their relationship with God.

This academy has been a lifelong dream, and it’s finally here—an institution that reflects the beauty and truth of God’s Kingdom through artistic expression. We are dedicated to preparing generation after generation to not only thrive in their craft but also to lead with faith and purpose.
