A very unusual Taiwan Uniform Invoice Lottery case is getting attention after two men in Penghu attempted to claim several winning invoices โ including TWO NT$10 MILLION prizes! ๐ฑ
According to Taiwanese media reports, the men presented winning electronic invoices that had been printed through convenience-store multimedia machines.
๐๏ธ WHAT MADE THE CASE SUSPICIOUS?
One of the men reportedly presented:
๐ฐ A NT$10 MILLION winning invoice from the MayโJune 2026 period
AND
๐ฐ Another NT$10 MILLION winning invoice from the JulyโAugust 2026 period
That's TWO consecutive NT$10 MILLION Special Prize wins! ๐คฏ
The two men also reportedly possessed several other winning invoices with smaller prizes.
๐ฆ When they attempted to claim the large prizes, financial institutions became suspicious and contacted police.
๐ WHAT DID POLICE FIND?
Initial examination reportedly found that the printed invoices themselves did not appear to be physically forged.
However, authorities are now checking whether the invoices legitimately belong to the claimants and tracing the original transaction and invoice records.
The Penghu District Prosecutors Office has asked Taiwan's Ministry of Finance to investigate the records further.
โ ๏ธ IMPORTANT: Authorities have NOT yet concluded that this was fraud.
The investigation is still ongoing, so it remains possible that the invoices are legitimate.
But winning Taiwan's NT$10 MILLION invoice prize twice in consecutive periods has definitely raised questions! ๐ณ
