Please share with as many as you can.
This is extremely important to me for many reasons; first, because of the many months that have been spent getting to the point where we are, but most importantly, what this project will mean to the sneaker community at large.
My name is Brent Ward and my business partner, Gabriel Willis, and I have been working to bring a marketplace for sneaker enthusiasts to life for the past year. There have been countless meetings, developer sessions, frustrations, small wins, compliance discussions, on and on…the point is, we are finally ready to take the next step and consider bringing our app, DeadStock District to market. We desperately need your help to do this. We are still in testing; however, our app and website are making significant improvements. Our goal is to provide a marketplace where buyers and sellers of new and gently worn sneakers and designer shoes can come together and buy, sell, or trade without worry of high transaction fees or a company trying to take their profits. We will offer the same piece-of-mind with authentications and a secure network to safeguard sensitive information; however, our motivations are a bit different from our giant competitors. Sure, we will need to make enough money to operate, but we will not allow that to stand in the way of our community getting good deals on shoes they actually want to buy by jacking up fees.
We are launching a Kickstarter campaign to help push us across the finish line. I completely understand if it is not within you to donate to our cause, but you could equally help by sharing this far and wide. The truth is, what may not be important to you, might mean the world to someone else. So please share this post with vigor and help Deadstock District become an actual thing. Help us make the process of buying and selling shoes more in the favor of the people and not just for some company to profit. Gabe and I really appreciate all of your support and your help in getting this in front of as many people as possible.
Peace. Love. And Keep Your Laces Tight
We are an honest sneakerhead community where people can buy, sell, and trade shoes and share their collection with their network.
