Quentin de Coster - Design Works Quentin de Coster is an Industrial Designer based in San Francisco. Born in Liège in 1990, Quentin de Coster studied industrial design in Belgium and Italy.

After graduating in 2014, he worked as a freelance designer in Europe before moving to California where he joined the award-winning design firm Fuseproject in 2017. Convinced that good design leads to the adoption of new ideas, Quentin focuses his creative energy towards helping visionary companies shape the future. The new August Wi-Fi Smart Lock is 45% smaller in volume and 20% slimmer than the previous generation. The upgraded smart lock requires no additional hardware to connect to Wi-Fi, providing full voice and remote access functionality through the power of the August app.
