Day 21 Process Pinterest is usually my source of inspiration especially with color palettes. I’ve been using Affinity on my iPad to sketch vectors. After tons of practice, I am finally friends with the pencil tool! I love being able to use my iPad -watching UNCW baseball and sketching right now ⚾️🎨❤️

- Planning I love all things planner related! This is a screenshot of my meal planner Definitely an essential app for me. I use Notion for all those ideas that pop in my head during the day via my phone. I love to brain dump in .app so I can erase. I try to break all the big ideas into small tasks. Those go in my paper planner so they actually happen. I’m not a sticker girl but I do require a great gel pen! I’m so excited to read everyone’s posts today about this topic. ✏️🗓️

Trial and Error=my whole business. I’m a pharmacist obsessed with planners, pens and systems. Super book nerd. So art is the total opposite. However, I was a chorus nerd who played piano and handbells. So maybe I wouldn’t be too bad at this “art stuff” Here’s my first real drawing in Procreate. I ended up turning it in to a sublimation file for my Etsy shop. Now I am drawing every day! Not perfect but perfect for me.

With digital files, finishing touches are a little tricky to define. No cute packaging and notes to ship. I use a checklist for each design or pattern once complete. Now if I could just make a dent in my idea list… no finish line in sight for that checklist

Day 7 LEARN I adjusted this photo years ago in Affinity Photo. I was in my photography phase with formals, proms, sports and graduation for both boys. I consider myself pretty good at Affinity Designer and OK with Illustrator. I would love to learn Photoshop and Affinity Photo and get my camera back out. Maybe focus on flowers and objects for my patterns?!
