MEET OUR TEAM DAY 6!

Gwen is a current senior at Urbandale High School and she has been the inventory tote organizing queen! She has put a lot of hours in for us and we are SO grateful!

Gwen has performed on stage with Urbandale show choirs ‘Vitality’ and ‘Studio’, and also played for the ‘Affinity’ showband. Gwen is also in band, tennis, and NHS.
Next year she will attend the University of Iowa to study speech & hearing sciences and psychology to become a pediatric speech pathologist.

DAY 5 of MEET OUR TEAM!

We just met Kate Schumacher this year and what an impression she has made!

Kate is a current senior at Urbandale High School and was a dance captain and performer in ‘Studio’, as well being a student director for ‘Vitality’. Kate is also in band, dance , Student Senate, and NHS.

Next year she will attend Iowa State to study art and psychology to be an art/music therapist.

Kate was one of the first students that came to mind when we were looking for extra part time help and she has also been great at lining up others students to work inventory shifts for us!

Kate is looking foward to helping with Renew Apparel throughout college and we wish her the best on her next adventure!

MEET OUR TEAM -DAY 4!

Some people know this member of our team as the talented performer Iconica Queen based in Minneapolis,MN, but we know Ryan as an artist extraordinaire who helped bring some of our garment options to life with his colorful fashion sketches!

Ryan is originally from La Crosse, WI and was a performer in Logan High School’s ‘The Class Act’.

You may have also seen some of his incredible work this past show choir season with Bloomington Kennedy’s ‘Rhythm In Gold’. Ryan was the artist who created the fashion and runway sketches on their back drop as well as being a hair and makeup consultant for their lead character ‘Cruella’.

Day 3 of MEET OUR TEAM!

KAYLA SHUE!

Kayla is passionate about making show choir a safe space for kids to exist and be 100% authentically themselves. Costuming has played a large role in this mission because when you feel good in what you’re wearing, you carry yourself differently.

Kayla comes from a combination of retail, corporate, and show choir backgrounds and is excited for those worlds to collide in joining RENEW Apparel to help your students feel their best on and off the stage!

Kayla Shue calls Onalaska, WI home where her world is show choir, more show choir, and her pups Ollie & Luna!

Kayla is a 2009 alum of La Crosse Logan “The Class Act,” was a dance captain in Viterbo University “Platinum Edition,” and performed with La Crosse’s “Grand River Singers” from 2009-2014, also appearing on GRS’s TV show “Off Pitch” in 2013. She directed La Crosse Logan “The Class Act” from 2010-2022 and has been the director of Holmen “Midwest Express” since 2022.

Day 2 of ‘MEET OUR TEAM’ and today we are featuring Emma Zink of .co

Based in Fargo, ND, Emma is our logo and website designer and has helped with the overall branding of Renew Apparel!

She lives with her husband Michael, cats Stella and Pete, and mini sausage dog, Mac. Her passion for design extends into interior spaces and making her home functional and stylish using thrifted and found pieces.

She went to the University of Minnesota (go Gophers!), and has a huge heart for the art and design community in the Twin Cities, as well as the Fargo scene.

Emma currently serves as Creative Director for the American Advertising Federation of North Dakota.

MARK TRAYNOR QUAMME!

Based in Detroit Lakes, MN, Mark is a 2008 alum of Holmen “Midwest Express” and has been choreographing for the last 15 years in addition to supporting creatives with The Creative’s Flow!

Mark and have been a valuable part of our creation process and we are SO grateful for their time, energy, creative thinking, and insight!

Introducing Renew Apparel — A Costume Rental Company with Renewed Purpose!

We are so excited to officially announce the launch of Renew Apparel, a show choir costume rental company built by the show choir community, for the show choir community.
Renew Apparel was born from a simple belief: every student deserves to feel their best on stage. Not every program has the same budget and resources, but every student deserves that confidence boost that comes from wearing a great show choir costume. Custom costuming is, and always will be, a cornerstone of competitive show choir — and we want to help make it more accessible.

Whether you're looking to rent, purchase, or sell costumes, Renew Apparel is here to give each costume a renewed purpose — and help your performers shine.

With 150 costumes items already in our library, we can’t wait to launch our full site + rental options in early summer. With limited space available, we are still considering additional costumes to purchase on a case-by-case basis.
