What a wonderful week we had at River Rocks Landing in Gadsden, AL with this talented group of ladies! It was so special reconnecting with old friends and welcoming new faces into our quilting family.

Throughout the week, we enjoyed fellowship, quilting, laughter, shopping, and some delicious food. So many beautiful quilt tops came together, and the Show & Tell was absolutely amazing — you ladies did a fabulous job showcasing your stunning quilts, bags, and wall hangings.

A special thank you to Sewing Machine Mart, 31:13 Quilting & Embroidery, Ashville House Quilt Shop, and Creative Fabric & Design for your generous discounts and wonderful door prizes. We look forward to seeing you all again in July!

We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our committee for all your hard work and help throughout the week — we truly couldn’t have done it without you.

Congratulations to Ann Whitten and Tina Wideman for winning the LRC fat quarters, and to Caroline Tinner for winning the sunflower blocks. We can’t wait to see your finished project, Caroline! And let's not forget our Dirty Quilter Game, what fun!

Quilt Til You Wilt – Quilting & Sewing Retreat

Come join us for 5 fun filled days of quilting & sewing with friends at River Rocks Landing Resort & Venue located on the Coosa River in Gadsden, AL at 1 River Road, Gadsden, AL 35901.
May 20-24, 2026. Sewing station set up only will be available on May 19 starting at 1:00 pm.

Reserve your camp sites, RV rental, tiny houses or container homes through the park office – 256-543-7111 Note: When making reservations, advise them you are part of the quilt retreat and would like a site close to The Bay Lodge. A discount is offered for the RV sites only. Use code Quilt26. Lodging is not included in the quilt retreat price.

What is included:
25 tables available - First Come First Serve Basis - No Holds.
Cutting Stations, Ironing Stations & Design Boards available throughout the room.
$225.00 per person - 5 days of sewing at The Bay Lodge, make & take class TBD - (should you choose to take the class, payments will be taken when you sign up for the class), shop hop, voluntary group project, games, door prizes and a few surprises. And of course, our traditional group dinner. Additional $20 for spouse or guest attending dinner.

Note: Only the group meal is provided as a part of the retreat; all other meals will be your responsibility. There is a restaurant on site, and a list of recommended restaurants & grocery stores will be provided on our itinerary.

Note: Because our room is limited to 25 guests and fills up so quickly, when you post going on the guest list, please provide your email address to [email protected] & return the registration form provided and send your payment to secure your table. We had an amazing retreat at River Rocks Landing in Gadsden, AL with these talented ladies. We put together beautiful quilt tops, shared stories, and created friendships that we'll always treasure. Our heartfelt thanks go to our committee for their dedication in making the retreat a success, and to the participating quilt shops, The Sewing Machine Mart, Ashville House Quilt Shop & 31:13 Quilting and Embroidery for offering generous fabric discounts.

Congratulations to our door prize recipients, Karen Cauley for winning the shamrock blocks, we’re excited to see the wonderful friendship quilt you create and to Jean Nutz for winning our LRC game and sharing the beautiful fat quarters with the group. We’re just days away from kicking off our quilt retreat at River Rocks Landing in Gadsden, AL, and we couldn’t be more excited. To our returning quilters, welcome back—and to our new friends, we’re thrilled to have you join us. We have a fun week planned and can’t wait for everyone to arrive.

We kicked off 2026 with a lively Valentine’s Weekend Getaway at River Rocks Landing in Gadsden, AL, welcoming new friends, local guests and old friends. Thank you to our committee for making the retreat a success, Pam Dean for sharing some patterns with our group, and special appreciation to Shawn and Heidi from The Sewing Machine Mart quilt shop in Springville, AL for hosting lunch and a fun trunk show. Looking forward to seeing everyone again soon - safe travels home.

Good morning, quilting friends! We’re now less than two weeks away from our Valentine’s Weekend Getaway at River Rocks Landing in Gadsden, AL, and the excitement is definitely building. Our group email went out yesterday with updated details—if you’re planning to join us and didn’t receive it, please reach out and I’ll make sure you get the information.

We’re especially looking forward to our group road trip to The Sewing Machine Mart quilt shop for lunch, a fun trunk show, and of course a little shopping. A big thank‑you to Heidi for hosting us!

We also have a special project planned, and one lucky participant will go home with all the blocks needed to create a friendship quilt. I won’t spoil the surprises, but get ready for three wonderful days filled with sewing, laughter, fellowship, and some good food.
