Part 8: Blind Leaders of the Blind
Jesus made a startling statement.
“If the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.”
The world is full of people repeating what they heard without ever verifying it with God.
Culture imitates culture.
Matthew 15:13-14
The Kingdom imitates the Father.
Jesus said, “I speak that which I have seen with My Father.”
John 8:37-38
The religious leaders of His day could quote scriptures, but they could not recognize the One the scriptures were talking about.
Information is not the same as revelation.
Knowledge is not the same as understanding.
Many voices are speaking.
Many opinions are circulating.
Many experts are influencing people.
But whose voice are you following?
The Kingdom speaks what it hears from the Father and plants what Heaven reveals.
The world simply repeats what it sees around it.
One produces life.
The other produces confusion.
If the source is wrong, the destination will be wrong.
Spend enough time with God and His voice will become more familiar than the noise of culture.
Romans 12:2
Blind leaders produce blind followers.
But those who follow the voice of the Shepherd walk in light.
John 10:27
