Born near the very end of the 20th century—in 1999—Auriel Jones grew up in a time where families, and organizations both political and non-political became so divisive and traumatizing to the everyday person living in the United States of America and elsewhere. This great polarization of the time with the birth of the internet and its global expansion caused
Auriel to feel helpless that others couldn't conquer their dreams and establish liberated bonds of unity in diversity, nor himself. Hearing the word, "purpose" in prayer, Auriel began to see that he was intended to live with purpose alongside everyone else, beyond the circumstances; he then learned to push himself and others—whoever would choose to—against the circumstances born into, reared in, or caught up in as the love of others grew cold, often for trivial reasons. With this, the clothing brand Libertad™ by Auriel Jones was then birthed with purpose as a reminder to others that through self-love and self-empowerment, all is achievable in a spirit of authenticity; and it is possible to live free and have unity in diversity, agreeing on essentials of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
