I had the privilege of interviewing with Bob Mackie years ago.
Along with being an enormous talent, he was a generous and kind man, very encouraging of my work and willing to make the introduction to the incredible women who did his embroidery.
Years later, I returned to show him a beaded gown we had just completed. I will remember his smile that day.
While many people, places, and situations contribute to making our lives what they are, it is more than fair to say, in a quiet way, he was directly responsible for my start.
He will always remain an inspiration to me. It was an honor to be able to meet such a fine person.
