With it's purr-fect stripes, the quick-thinking Tinker the Tiger is the national animal of India, well-known for being a pillar of strength and resourcefulness. Patches, the Panda is the national emblem of China. Pandas are gentle creatures who are prized in Chinese culture.

Debra Raney, founder of Little Muffincakes and ParentCo.llab partner, didn’t plan to be an entrepreneur. “It just sort of happened,” she said.
Her childhood home was filled with African art, celebrating her family’s culture and appearance. Yet when it came to decorating the nursery, there was practically nothing available for kids. 31 years after becoming a mother herself, the story was frustratingly the same –finding characters and products that reflected what her kids saw when they looked in the mirror was close to impossible.
“I was staring, searching, and wishing,” she said, but “there were still no products that represented children of color. Enough was enough. It was time to make a change, and Debra decided she would do it herself. “I jumped in with two feet,” Debra remembers. “I decided to be the change I wanted to see.”

Our Atlanta team members were able to donate more than 3500 toys to Marine Toys for Tots Foundation , Atlanta Mission , and National Guard ! The Canada office also hosted a toy drive to benefit in partnership with their local police department and the . The Rhode Island office hosted a blanket drive to benefit Inova Children's, a food drive for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, and donated swaddles to Hasbro Children's Hospital and Children's Friend.
We're so grateful for every team member that made this possible, and we can't wait to create even more tiny wins in 2023!

In support of Asian-Pacific Islander Heritage month, we interviewed Eylmer Bartolome.
Born in the Philippines and raised in New Orleans, Eylmer joined Kids2 in May 2021 as the Senior Customer Supply Chain Specialist on the Customer Solutions team. When you ask Eylmer about his heritage, he beams with pride and happily shares the two most important aspects of the Filipino culture:

Kids2 Celebrates World Book Day with @BabyEinstein
Innovation and problem solving are at the heart of Kids2. The company got its start when an enterprising, 42-year-old grandmother created a solution for a bath time hazard. Pansy Ellen Essman’s granddaughter did not like to be bathed and got very fussy, making it difficult for her parents and grandparents to handle the wiggly infant. To make bath-time safer and more comfortable for her baby granddaughter, Pansy got the idea to create a sponge pillow that would cradle the child in the tub, freeing the caretaker’s hands to clean the baby.
Pansy worked hard to bring her solution to the market. To make ends meet, she continued working as a parts inspector at an electronics firm, producing the infant “bath aid” evenings and weekends at her mother’s farm. In 1969, Pansy patented her bath design, developed a prototype, and took it to a New York City trade show. She met with a dozen sales representatives who were impressed and began placing orders for Pansy-ette™, the original foam bath aid. It was the start of Pansy Ellen Products, which is now Kids2.
By 1975, at the age of 55, Pansy Ellen Essman was able to leave her $3.50 an hour job with the electronics firm and begin nationwide distribution of her invention. In 1978, Tom Gunnigle joined Pansy Ellen Products to expand the company’s product line into new categories, including high chairs, baby food organizers, and nursery lamps. When Pansy Essman retired in 1983, Tom took over as the president and purchased the company the following year.
Ryan Gunnigle, Tom’s son, essentially entered the infant toy and baby gear business as a child when he frequently visited his father’s office, and eventually, he began helping various departments. As a teenager, when many of his friends found employment at fast food restaurants and grocery stores, Ryan worked at his father’s company.
Upon graduating from Emory University in 1990, Ryan joined Kids2 as an associate product manager. Inspired by a collaboration with Dr. Susan Luddington-Hoe, author of “How to Have A Smarter Baby,” Ryan oversaw the design of the first black, white, and red toys which were specifically created to stimulate babies. This helped launch the company into “infant development” toys. These products quickly gained the interest of the world’s largest retailer, Walmart, which was a springboard for the company’s Bright Starts™ products to appear on the shelves of other retail giants, including Toys “R” Us in 1992 and Target a few years later.
In 1993, the company was renamed Kids II (which was updated to Kids2 in 2019).Ryan Gunnigle was named the president in 1998. Under Ryan’s leadership and vision, the company experienced a period of rapid growth as it opened offices around the world, with Hong Kong as its first international office. Mexico, UK, Canada, Australia, Netherlands, China, and Japan soon followed. Along the way, Kids2 entered the Stationary Activity Centers category, grew its brand portfolio and Bright Starts collections, secured licensing agreements with Carter’s, Disney, and Baby Einstein, and established the Kids II Foundation—supporting the company’s commitment to corporate responsibility.
In 2005, Ryan Gunnigle purchased the company and became President and CEO. Under Ryan’s direction, the company reached $100 million in sales within two years. Operating with an entrepreneurial approach, the company continued to flourish. It moved its headquarters to the thriving Atlanta suburb, Buckhead, with a branded office space complete with a large slide and a beautiful showroom. The new offices were a finalist in the design category for the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 2012 Best in Atlanta Real Estate Awards. Kids2 Latin America was opened, along with offices in South Africa and Amsterdam. The company also extended its product line launching the Ingenuity™ brand in 2010, acquiring Rhino Toys™ (now Oball™), the Taggies™ brand, and the Baby Einstein™ brand from Disney®.
During this time, Ryan realized the way the world consumes products was rapidly changing and the company would need to pivot from being product focused to being consumer-driven. To help him navigate this transition, he brought on a board of advisors in 2014 and rolled out a new company Purpose, Vision and 5-year Growth Agenda in 2017.
Today, Kids2 is one of the leading infant and toddler companies leveraging the talent of the nearly 450 global employees across 12 offices on four continents. Driven by innovation, design, and a comprehensive brand portfolio, Kids2 is the next generation leader of infant and toddler products. Kids2 has consistently grown each year, even during times of national and global economic hardship. Staying true to its roots, Kids2 aims to redefine the industry by creating holistic solutions for early-stage parents that transcend borders, caories, and aisles so that bright futures are in reach for every family.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission warned consumers about the danger of infant rockers after at least 14 infant deaths linked to products made by Fisher-Price and another by Kids2 Co.
"Companies should not market or depict infant products such as rockers, gliders and inclined products as a way to get babies to sleep or as sleep products since they are not safe for infant sleep," Dev Gowda, assistant director of Kids In Danger, said in a statement.

Good evening. We purchased the Baby Einstein Activity Table for our Grandsons birthday and gave it to him this past Monday. His parents opened it yesterday and there is no magnetic writing tool in it. The box was sealed when we got it and did not look like it was tampered with. Apparently quality control must not have noticed that there was no instrument in it before sending it out for distribution. The item is ''Baby Einstein Curiosity Table Activity Station Table Toddler Toy with Lights and Melodies, Ages 12 Months and Up '' I would like to have this item sent to me.
