A parachute landing fall (PLF) is a safety technique used by skydivers and paratroopers to absorb the impact of landing by sequentially distributing the force across five points of the body: the balls of the feet, calves, thighs, buttocks, and back. To execute a PLF, keep your feet and knees together and, upon impact, roll from your feet up your side to your back, maintaining a tucked chin to avoid facial injury.
