This weekend we are attempting to sew our first dress!
I came across this post while looking for a template to follow.

Jon is actually traveling to Africa this summer with Compassion -- so we got the idea to put our skills to good use and make some dresses for the little girls. We can't wait to fill his bag with stuff for the little kids there!

Ashton completed her first project this weekend...a fabric headband! She modeled two of the most popular ways to wear it...classic and ninja! She gave this one to her BFF Megan!

Ashton's first sewing lesson in her boutique!

First lesson about hand stitching, sewing safety, and getting to know your machine. We also did some practice without thread. It was about 2 hours and she still wanted more! Ashton also tried to sell a dress to our cashier at hobby lobby and a blanket to the lady behind us....she is pretty great salesman!!

Ashton picking out fabric at Granny's for her first sewing lesson tomorrow :) She told me she was going to wake up at 6 am and jump around till I got up and taught her how to sew...wish us luck!!
