What I have realized is that all you ever wanted for the people around you is for them to be love and light in this world. I will never forget the love and light you brought into my life as a young artist and woman. Dear Virgil,

I’m not sure if you knew the level of impact you had on multiple generations at one time. I’m not sure if you understand the mark you would leave here. Your story is one that can be told so many times and move a wave of creatives like myself in a way that is transcending. Through you, I see me. You created a space, and a voice in a space where we normally don’t roam. You have shown me, and taught me what it means to put myself in all spaces because I do belong there. Virgil, I thank you for your sacrifices all that they may be, I thank you for your grace, your determination, and most of all… I thank you for your vision and dreams.
