Time doesn’t walk—
it seeps,
like sunlight through a curtain
no one remembers drawing.

It gathers in quiet places:
in the curve of a teacup gone cold,
in the space between two words
you almost said.

Morning arrives like a promise
you didn’t agree to,
noon burns it into something real,
and evening folds it back
into a softer truth.

We try to hold it—
in calendars, in numbers,
in careful plans—
but it slips through the smallest openings,
preferring the language of shadows
and changing light.

Sometimes it lingers,
stretching a single moment
until it feels like forever.
Sometimes it disappears entirely,
leaving only the echo
