Hey Love, It’s Small Business Saturday! As a small business owner, I thought this would be an appropriate time to share a little about what led me here...
For those of you I haven't had the pleasure of officially meeting yet, my name is K. Hill and I'm the passionate Naturalista behind Loccessories. I started my natural hair journey in 1996 and my dreadlock journey around 2005.
Back then a lot of us where just starting our natural hair journey's and there wasn’t much support for us. Remember, this was back before YouTube, before Instagram. Hard to believe, I know, but there was actually a time when the internet and social media was not the centerpoint of our lives.
Needless to say, in the early days, it was hard to find information and products to accommodate our curls.
And when I started to loc, there was even less so.
I struggled to find products and accessories to help me feel confident in my God-given HAIRitage.
But I'm a crafter, a tinkerer, a problem solver. So each time I ran up against a roadblock for which there was no mainstream solution, I decided to create my own.
