Hello, I’m Karyn Reid, the owner of Sewn “Karyng-ly.” During my teaching career, I used to be known as the “Bag Lady.” I would come in to the building carrying multiple bags holding all of “my teacher stuff”. After having my daughter, I decided to become stay-at-home mom, and started making bags and accessories as gifts for friends and family. After receiving many compliments, I decided to open a

business to sell my handmade creations. Sewn “Karyng-ly” is committed to providing customers with handmade, unique accessories that are durable, sewn with care, and affordably priced. Sewn “Karyng-ly’s” creations are crafted using a variety of fabrics including brightly colored cottons, denim, duck canvas, and corduroy. Today was a fabulous day at the Bellmore Street Festival. The weather was nice. I sold a bag that will be going to the UK. I met some new people and ran into a few of my friends.

Thank you to all for the well wishes that were sent my way and all of my friends who were able to take a moment out of your busy day to come out to support me. It really meant a lot and is much appreciated.

Of course I would be remiss if I did not thank my family for all of their help in making today be a success. A special thanks to Avery who not only helped me to a mock set up yesterday and helped me set up today but he also was instrumental in helping me create the very cool Sewn "Karyng-ly" banner seen in the background of the pictures taken at my booth. Today was truly a good day!

Well, it is almost a quarter to 11 and we are all set up and ready to go at the Bellmore Street Festival. We will be here until 6 or until I sell out of inventory. Hope to see some familiar local faces and to make a little deniro. Have a Super Duper Sunday!

This album contains variations on a simple tote bag pattern that takes on a different look depending on the fabric selection and the embellishments. This bag measures about 10" wide x 15" tall x 5" deep and has a small patch pocket on the interior. This bag has sold for $22 to $25.
