Yesterday, made an Instagram call for a Black-owned brand to bring her merch.
I was in my studio, and within 15 minutes of seeing her post, I jumped in my car and headed to Baltimore. 🚘
Inventory packed. Products labeled. Branding ready.
When I arrived at , I had the opportunity to meet Pinky and her team and present our HBCU statement merch — because we know and believe that Dreams Come True at HBCUs.
She was gracious. Kind. Welcoming.
And while I was moving fast and my pitch for her to wear our merch at may not have come out as smoothly as I would have liked, I still did it.
I showed up.
I took the chance.
I shot my shot.
And for that alone, I’m grateful.
Sometimes faith looks like moving quickly.
Sometimes growth looks like doing it nervous.
Sometimes the win is simply being in the room.
I have no idea what happens next, but I’m thankful for the moment, proud that I moved with intention, and excited for what could be ahead.
