I had just ironed on the final rhinestone on the Dolly shirt I made for my daughter today when I read that she had passed away. Kind of strange coincidence.

It seems like most alterations are about taking side seams to make the dress tighter. But, sometimes it's about putting on your dress and it's too tight. The quickest way is adding a corset, but not every dress can handle that. I've added a few creative ideas that can make that dress fit perfectly.

Here is an easy fix to a little problem. Are you a little on the shorter side but need to buy larger shirts, T-shirts and tops that make you feel like you're wearing a dress? Get them hemmed and/or taken in.

My client wanted a sleeveless look for her quince dress. I removed the upper part of the dress, hand sewed a finished hem on the inside, left a modesty panel and sewed on a few pearls. My client was very happy with the results.

This is the text I received from mom... "She wanted me to tell you thank you. She absolutely loved it! She had no idea you made the alterations so when she saw the dress she wanted to cry. You did a beautiful job."

Knowing I made my client happy is the best feeling. 🩷🩷
