I would never have called myself a painter, but I decided to try it because I was struggling with the digital coloring and rendering process.

I surprised myself. This painting is not perfect by any stretch, but for someone who doesn't paint traditionally very often, it's pretty good. It makes me want to do more!

The last slide is a separate sketch I did first to get a feel for the subject, as I'm more comfortable working with pencil.

Has anyone else noticed that sketching on paper is way easier, more fluid, and more interesting than on a digital program? Maybe it's different for you, but a lot of times I prefer sketching on paper and doing line art digitally.
