This is a quilt that's months in the making and still not finished. It started out as a completely different pattern, in fact I have a bag full of pieces that were cut out for the original quilt. But when you're prayerfully working on a gift you can't ignore the check in your spirit that says it isn't right. So I sat aside all the pieces I had cut out and buried the pattern beneath my stack of projects, while waiting for the inspiration to strike.

Then one day I picked up a book from my shelf that I had flipped through many times, this time though I knew in my spirit it was the pattern I needed to use. It's called Cathedral Windows, it immediately felt right and I jumped straight into working on it. It's a gift for a sweet little baby girl. It's taking me forever to finish it.

I'm making good progress on it this week. Hopefully I'll finish it soon, but there's a lot of heart that has to go into it and that can't be rushed.

I've been away from this page a hot minute. The past couple of months have been a roller coaster ride for our household, I've barely been able to touch my sewing machine the past month. But I'm finally back and these are just part of my project pile.

I'm super excited about the toddler chair and couch! I'm reupholstering both. The chair I'm keeping for my toddler, but if all goes well the little couch will be available in the next few weeks. I'm still torn if I want to do a patchwork look on it or if I should do a black faux leather...
