Ketchup post starting with Tuesday’s outfit. A black top from Goodwill Industries of Arkansas with a pair of Levi's pants I bought new last week for about $12. Max Mara Rx sunglasses, The Frye Company bag and Birkenstock Gizeh slides. Monday was a day because of appointments (doctor in the am and therapy in the pm) so I wore a thrifted dress and Birkenstocks. I spent Sunday looking for a princess who was locked up in a castle (between calls to the plumbing company I own with my brother).

Apparently tomorrow is the first official Whimsical Wednesday with Jessie Jolles so please wear something you’ve been saving for a special occasion.

Today I wore Duluth Trading Company overalls with some random yellow tank and a pair of Birkenstock Arizonas. I’ve been carrying the same bag for like a week. A few of us from the creative team met up at The Compton for work this morning. I’m in the depths of my seasonal depression (all of you “I LOVE SUMMER” people can see yourselves out 😉) so I finished up at home.

I went to a pottery wheel class tonight at Fifth Street Studio and made a colossal mess of myself and the whole studio. I even got clay on my glasses.

Ketchup post. When I was Itty Bitty Meg, my dad’s sister told me “I’m not your Aunt Linda, I’m the Devil.” And the name stuck. I was so fortunate to get a fit check with her on Tuesday (during the not-so-fortunate family gathering for my beloved Uncle Dee’s funeral). She was wearing a purple kaftan with an amethyst bead necklace and silver slides. I wore a thrifted linen dress from Goodwill Industries of Arkansas

My brother Nick smoked ci******es in front of the church doors and I got a partial cousin pic (plus an auntie) before making the long drive back home.

No pics from Wednesday because I worked/moped from home. Today I tried on everything I own and finally made myself leave the house at 9 am in a thrifted sundress.

Had to buy some groceries today so I wore a jumpsuit from that is totally giving Danny DeVito as The Penguin. The legs were too long so I hacked them off with a pair of scissors that had the handles chewed off by my dog Lavender when she was a lil baby. Same purse and shoes from yesterdee and my old faithful Max Mara Rx sunnies. I drew an amazing card from my Kick Ass Affirmation deck (a gift from my coworkers years ago) and now it’s time to get mentally prepared for another week.

Can someone explain how people still have fireworks to blow up on July 5? Do they say “we will want to do this again tomorrow night and the next night and maybe the night after that”? Or maybe there’s just a showdown at the OK Corral going on over here. You never can tell in Bella Vista.

Did someone order a firecracker? 🧨 I went to a little gathering at my friends’ house today. I wore a one-of-a-kind swimsuit designed and created by my brilliant SIL Darcy at Crimson And Clover with a thrifted pencil skirt from Goodwill Industries of Arkansas Red mesh/heart motif flats are from Walmart

Bag is from a boutique in with a vintage scarf added to the handle at the last minute.

I baked two loaves of sourdough to contribute to the feast and both were devoured. I was home in my pjs by 8pm.

A storm is brewing now, so I hear more thunder than fireworks. Hope you had a great day.

Welcome to Arkansas Girl Summer. I got a massage today and dropped off some bits and bobs to a kids’ art pantry close to my house. Then I had to work (??!!) but Sister saved the day with a lunch invite to Turnbuckle Farm

We got big old juicy peaches from the farm stand and big old sammiches from the food truck.

I wore my new Carhartt shorts (50 percent off clearance price because we don’t pay retail) with an EXPRESS tank and Birkenstock Arizonas I got for next to nothing last year on Whatnot

I had acupuncture this morning as part of the work I’m doing on myself and for myself. During treatment, I felt an entire version of myself, anchored exactly under my rib cage, rise up and out of my body. I told my acupuncturist about it and he said that’s our energetic center. I feel like something was lodged there for a long time and now it’s out. I also started yesterday and felt like my throat was bursting open. This is probably too much woo for an account mostly about clothes. But dang it, take care of yourselves.

I’ve been getting a lot of really sweet cards and letters in the mail and they all make my day. Thank you so much for thinking of me and making the time. It means a lot to me.

One last thing, do you ever clean your house in a way that makes it 1000x worse before it gets better? Tell me this is normal.
