CargoCulture I'm a sailmaker and boatwright by trade and work on all sorts of handmade projects in my free time. CargoCulture is my solution.

My day job is pretty seasonal and I'm one of those people who likes a lot of variety in my activities to hold my interest. My side projects are currently all textiles and are primarily accessories. I make my own patterns and designs, so each piece is truly unique. I do my best to give each project a finishing touch and a bit of a flourish. While I sometimes make up a design out of the blue for myself, more often than not my inspiration comes from my friends and what I imagine they might enjoy and find useful. I like to have a framework of practicality and come up with creative presentations to complement the use and personality of a given piece. My goal is a good balance and blend of form and function.
