WELP.

After my beautiful and extremely supportive ex accidentally dropped a cupcake on my books this weekend... we have five slightly traumatized copies of *He Married the Side Chick*.

Before y'all start, he felt HORRIBLE. 😂 It was a complete accident, and honestly it was so on brand for the chaos of the day.

The books are perfectly readable. They just have some cosmetic damage on the page edges. Think of them as having a little extra personality.

So I've decided to discount them.
They have all been signed.
For $10, you can grab one for pickup. For $15, I'll deliver it to you around the Bessemer/Birmingham area.

Once these five are gone, they're gone.

Honestly... these are probably the only five books in existence with official Cupcake Lore™. 😂 So, if you've been waiting for a sign to be all up in my business and read my book? This it bestie. LMAO!

The Lemonade Exchange was everything I didn’t know I needed. 💛

I got to connect, network, and fellowship with some incredible authors, and I finally did the soft launch of Get You Some Fu***ng Boundaries.

I’m not even gonna lie, I almost changed the title. I kept second guessing myself because I was worried about how people would receive it.

Then my kids reminded me of something I needed to hear.

“Don’t change your message because of how you think people might perceive it.”

The people I’m meant to reach will get it. The people who choose to miss out, that’s their choice. Not mine.

This book is so much more than its title. And one little cuss word ain’t stopping what’s MINE.

Amen? Amen. 🖤📖✨

This Saturday, I'll be at The Lemonade Exchange at the Homewood Library, and I'd love to see some familiar faces.

This one is a little bittersweet because it'll be my last author event in Birmingham before the kids and I make our move to Dallas. 🥹

When I built the world of Sugar & Spite, I wanted every corner of it to feel undeniably Black.

The founding families. The bakery. The bookstore off of Rose Boulevard. The churches. (the bougie one included) The politicians. The media. The universities. Even horse country.
