There are some people who come into your life and leave a mark on your heart forever. 💜
Laila was that person for me.
When I came to Ramsay as a freshman, I didn’t know what to expect. But God blessed me with Laila. She was one of the first people to welcome me, make me feel like I belonged, and love me for who I was. In a world where kindness can sometimes feel hard to find, she reminded me just how powerful it is.
Laila wasn’t just my friend. She was CSD’s biggest supporter and one of my greatest inspirations. She believed in me, celebrated every accomplishment, encouraged every dream, and always wanted to see me win. I’ll always be thankful for the love she gave me.
Although she’s no longer here with us, I don’t want her love to stop with those of us who knew her.
That’s why I’m launching Love Like Laila.
This is more than a donation drive. It’s my way of honoring the incredible person she was by sharing the same love she shared with so many people.
Our first initiative is a Blanket & Sock Drive to help individuals and families in need. We’re collecting brand-new socks and new or gently used blankets that will be donated directly to a local shelter.
If you’d like to donate, please make sure all blankets are clean and in excellent condition. Every item we give should reflect the dignity, care, and love that Laila showed to everyone she met.
Donations can be dropped off at 1212 Cheyenne Blvd. Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
If Laila ever made you smile, encouraged you, or simply made your day a little brighter, I hope you’ll consider helping us continue her legacy. And if you never had the chance to know her, I’d still love for you to join us in spreading the kind of love this world could always use more of.
