My name is Abigail and My Little Grouse House is my business to share with you some of the barn quilts that I love. I've been married for 12 years and have 3 kids. We also have a grouchy old basset hound named, Opey. We live in central Illinois, where I was raised. The wide open spaces of c
orn and bean fields are one of the most comforting places in the world for me! I love sewing and crafting, trying new recipes and reading children's novels and memoirs, group exercise classes and iced coffee. My Little Grouse House got it's name after a little cabin in the woods in Northern Wisconsin where my husband and I spent the early years of our marriage. We learned so much about our faith, friendship and living in community. I also discovered my love for sewing and crafting in that cabin. So this shop is an ode to the many great memories I have there. Because you can't put a real quilt everywhere ;)
