YBI and Ohio Department of Development's Minority Business Assistance Center have collaborated to host the first annual EmpowerUS awards. Ryan Gilchrist, owner of Ryan's Chair, will be recognized at this event on February 26th.

Ryan Gilchrist has been cutting hair in the valley for 30 years as the owner and operator of Ryan's Chair. He prides himself on developing a family establishment where both men, women, and children could get a haircut. Not only has Ryan's Chair been a landmark in the community for many years, he has inspired and taught others to start their own journey barbers and entrepreneurs.

We felt honored to work on this upcycled apparel project with Lit Youngstown for their 9th annual Fall Literary Festival!

The Festival's theme was Rooted in Earth. 🌳
Staying on brand with Lit Youngstown's commitment to sustainability, we started with secondhand pieces from local shops, then added either an embroidered patch or the logo embroidered directly to the piece. This means less materials in landfills and more value in our community. ♻️🫶

Lit Youngstown is a local nonprofit providing support to readers, writers, and storytellers. 📚📖
