I remember having to work some Saturdays when I worked full time in corporate. Eugh.

But now, I love it.

Some of you may know, but I have a 15-plus-year tenure in , , and . Corporate was SO bad for my (already pretty feeble) physical and mental health. Plus, it sorta crushes your soul because it’s all farce.

Projections, goals, quarterly reports, employee engagement survey, standing meetings, 1:1s, employee training, c-suit speak (“circle back, put a pin in it, boil the ocean, alignment, synergy, KPIs”) NONE OF IT IS REAL.

And none of it has heart.

Last Fall I was laid off from my global PR position due to “redundancy,” although I was the only one in the company with a PR title. 🙄😑 I was slowly growing on the side, but I wasn’t able to put much into it because of my demanding corporate role.

I don’t know if I believe in “blessings in disguise” or kismet or coincidences… but I do know that I’ve never been happier running Hadley Fabulous Fine Jewelry and making people’s sparkly dreams come true.

Everything happens for a reason, or something. 😉

This is my favorite part of what I do.

Seeing my clients eyes light up when they see the jewelry I’ve sourced or designed for them makes me the happiest. 😆🥰

People often ask me where I source my gemstones and finished jewelry from. My answer is, it depends what we’re looking for! I have trusted wholesale partners across the globe.

My favorite booth so far, was one hocking genuine Rolexes for pennies on the dollar because they come sans box. They were literally wrapped in Saran Wrap. 😂
