The perfect bedroom set for a rustic cabin! The A. Brandt Company manufactured sturdy oak furniture in Fort Worth, Texas, establishing a distinct rustic style that drew inspiration from traditional ranch life. These pieces were produced starting in the mid-1930s and gained immense popularity throughout the mid-20th century as American homeowners embraced Western motifs in domestic interior design. The firm used heavy solid white oak with a wire-brushed finish that highlighted the natural grain, complemented by custom cast-iron hardware shaped like horseshoes.

This armchair appears to be a piece of late 19th or early 20th-century.

There are some minor scratches but finish appears to be original. Solid wood, very heavy chair.
