Only one week ago we woke to the news of the incredibly heartbreaking loss of Chadwick Boseman. He was regal on + off the screen; his name + work represent so much for so many + his absence will continue to be profoundly felt. // One of the many painful parts of loss, is the way it reminds our hearts of how they ache for others who are no longer here. For us, we were reminded of another heroine who also possessed an unmatched spirit, Mama Cax. Her legacy is also one of a great name + great example. She was a fighter + a survivor, in her personal life + in the fashion industry where she was a tireless advocate for diversity + inclusion. She too represented so much for many of us; she is missed by those who knew her well + even strangers like us who could feel her power through our phone screens. Today is an ode Mama Cax.
