A beautiful day is in the works for a return to my apron stomping grounds! It's a great local show with vendors lining the downtown sidewalks and filling the green on the mall. Pretty darn awesome!

Aprons on the line fresh air drying - no electricity required! There's something extra special about slowing things down and taking the time to hang the laundry out to dry. Except for the mosquitoes. They do like the shade out of the summer heat.

Yeah, shows are tiring but the interactions I have with the folks who come to look at my aprons are invigorating. From the people who have their own apron stash and can’t help looking, to the ones who are just beginning their cooking journeys, to the wee ones who want to help dump the flour (all over the place) and stir that batter, these are the ones who help make the whole process rewarding. Of course, buying new fabric to make new aprons is a huge reward. And it doesn’t hurt to have the most awesome of summer weather!

Thank you to all who visited me this past weekend. You really do make my day(s)!

My first show of the summer season is coming right up! The Belfast Arts in the Park show has been nominated for DownEast Magazine’s “Best Craft Fair!” For 30 years, Arts in the Park has brought artists, makers, musicians, food vendors, and thousands of visitors together on the Belfast waterfront to celebrate creativity, community, and Maine’s vibrant arts scene. This is my third year participating and it's an awesome show - AND it's hard to beat the location right on the Belfast waterfront. Gotta get my 'show brain' in gear.
