2 yards of fabric starts at 70.00 up to 15lbs with solid colors (Fits a
full size bed pretty good just a little short on all sides. These are some of the Blankets I have on hand I also make them to order. Weighted blankets are great for Sensory Disorders. Some examples of what they help with are Autism, ADHD, Anxiety, insomnia, depression, Restless Leg Syndrome, and many more. The weight of the blanket or lap pad helps the body release neurotransmitters that release serotonin which causes a calming effect. I make them in 3 sizes toddler bed size great for younger kids with one yard of fabric. The next size I make is 2 yards of fabric which almost covers a queen bed. The last size I make is 3 yards of fabric this also almost covers a queen but is a little longer with pillow cases. The larger blankets come up short on the sides of the bed to be a full/queen. The weight is made up of rice in bags duct taped together this the most cost efficient way to make them. They are washable there is one end that is tie in bows so you can take the weight out. While the weight is out you can wipe it down and check for weak spots or lifting duck tape and retape.
