Want to spend a week surrounded by sewing machines, colorful fabric, and enthusiastic young makers? The Waterford Craft School is looking for a volunteer camp assistant for our Summer Sleepover Sewing Camp (without Sleeping Over!).

As a camp assistant, you'll help our instructor, encourage campers as they learn new skills, and be part of a fun, creative week of sewing and making. It's a great way to earn volunteer hours, gain experience working with kids, and spend time in a hands-on creative environment.

Summer camp highlight: quilted yeti pillow! Quilted pillows are always a hit with our summer campers. This year, we’re focusing on some local school mascots. First up, the yeti! Summer camps start June 29! I’ll be posting a bit about each weeks projects here for the camps that still have spots open. First up, we have sleepover camp, which will be held the week of June 29th from 9:30-12:30 in Brambleton. Over the course of the week, we’ll make pillow cases, pj pants/shorts and a drawstring back pack to hold it all! We have a few spots open in this camp, and don’t forget, if you need full day, just sign up for the pm option as well and pack your child a lunch. There’s no extra charge to stay through the break!
