I LOVE seeing how Apple Barrel customers use their vintage finds at home… but there’s something extra special about seeing them used in a business. I went to a new salon in Rockmart, GA and as soon as I walked through the door, I knew I had found a fellow vintage lover.

Brittany Waters, the owner cut my hair for the first time today and as we were talking, she mentioned that she shops at Apple Barrel Antiques all the time . Then everything made sense. I had already been looking around at all of her beautiful vintage treasures thinking some of them looked awfully familiar.

Brittany has created the yummiest mix of vintage, chippy, rusty, velvet and boho decor. This was total eye candy for this vintage loving gal and I thought you guys might like to see her beautiful salon as well. Apple Barrel of Bremen

I’ve got the funky junk, but Tribal Chick has the funky clothes!
I had so much visiting this store for the first time. I loved looking around and taking in all of their beautifully staged vignettes. They have such a fun, eclectic way of mixing antique pieces into their displays alongside unique clothing, costume jewelry and accessories. So much personality everywhere you look!

You know I’m always drawn to the old stuff, so seeing antique pieces incorporated in such a creative and unexpected way was right up my alley. Definitely a fun place to wander around and get a little inspiration!

I was so saddened to hear about Dolly Parton’s passing today. Like so many others, I grew up listening to her music, and her songs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember.

I think I always related to her because, in a way, we both came from little hollers in the mountains. She came from the mountains of East Tennessee, and I came from the North Georgia mountains. No matter how famous she became or how far life took her, she never forgot where she came from.

She was an icon, a legend, and truly one of a kind. But beyond the music, she had such a giving heart and did so much for so many people.

Such a sad day in music history. There will never be another Dolly. Gonna miss this girl. ❤️
