What if home life could do more than just keep up with daily needs?

What if it could actually create something? What began as baking from scratch, raising animals, growing food quickly, lasering gifts, 3D printing useful tools, turned into something bigger—learning how to preserve, create, and build using both traditional skills and modern tools. Around here, we’re always asking one question:
“Can we do this ourselves?”

Sometimes the answer saves money. Sometimes

it doesn’t. But it always leads to something real, useful, and worth making.

• Laser engraved pieces

Made some HUGE rocky road flavored cookies. Testing for market. Some with almond chunks some without. These are very shareable cookies!! Big, not too sweet, I like them better with almonds for a little extra crunch. I might add a drizzle of caramel. Not sure yet.

To: Brighton Community

It has come to our attention that people—and possibly pets—have been venturing onto the ice covering Brighton Mill Pond.

For everyone’s safety, I strongly urge you to stay off the ice. The water beneath flows from Ore Creek toward Brighton Lake, creating weak spots that may be undetectable until it’s too late.

If someone falls through, a water rescue would be extremely difficult and could put others at risk as well.

To prevent any accidents, please stay off the ice at the Mill Pond. Your safety is our priority.
