🎣 ATTENTION FUTURE BUHLER BASS ANGLERS! 🎣

Whether you're brand new to bass fishing, a weekend fisherman, or an avid angler who lives for the next bite, there’s a spot for you on the Buhler Crusader Bass Fishing Team!

Our team is open to junior and high school anglers and we welcome all experience levels. If you’ve ever thought about tournament fishing, this is a great way to learn, compete, and spend time on the water with other anglers who love to fish just as much as you do.

Well, the final casts have been made at Wilson Lake and that officially wraps up the 25–26 fishing season for the Buhler High School & Junior Bass teams. 🎣🌬️

Today… the fish definitely understood the assignment and decided they weren’t interested in riding to the weigh-in with us. Both teams gave it everything they had, but the bass had other plans. Sometimes you win, sometimes the fish laugh and swim away.

This tournament marked the final one for our high school seniors, Zander Nickel & Jared Miller. You’ve represented Buhler with grit, patience, and a whole lot of casts. We wish you nothing but the best in whatever waters you fish next! 👏

Huge shoutout to Evan Goering for coming back to captain our high schoolers this weekend, we appreciate you stepping in and helping guide the crew. 🚤

Our junior team of Tate Kesinger & Kyler Myrick will keep Buhler fishing alive and well, carrying on the legacy of the phenomenal anglers who have fished before them. The future of Buhler bass fishing is looking strong. 💪🐟

And as we always say… a bad day on the lake still beats just about anything else. Here’s to the memories made this season, the stories that will probably get a little bigger each year, and the fish we’re already planning to catch next season. 🎣

Wilson Lake reminded us today that Kansas wind doesn’t mess around. If casting into the wind burned calories, these boys would’ve weighed in six-packs instead of bass.

Our junior team Kesinger & Myrick battled the gusts, made a pile of casts, and chased plenty of fish, but came up a little short at weigh-in today. Sometimes the fish just decide they’ve got other plans.

Our high school team Nickel & Miller managed to wrangle three bass to the scales, landing them in 4th place today! Not a bad day when the wind is trying to blow your hat off and your bait back to the boat.
Both teams showed some grit out there today, and we couldn’t be prouder of how they stuck it out.

Tomorrow we’re back at it for the final tournament of the season. Hopefully the bass decide to cooperate a little more… and the Kansas wind gives the boys a break.

Mother Nature decided to remind us we’re in Kansas and cranked up that famous wind 🌬️ So our junior team got bumped up to fish today alongside the high school team.

Both teams gave it their all, making about a million casts, chasing bites, and managing to hook the *wrong* species more than once. 🎣🎣

No fish made it to the weigh-in this time, but that doesn’t take away from the effort, grit, and good attitudes these kids brought to the lake.

Huge shoutout to our awesome team dads who kept the boats floating and the trailers rolling all day. We couldn’t do it without you! 👏

We are beyond proud of **Nickel & Miller** and **Kesinger & Myrick**. The fish may have won this round, but these kids showed up, worked hard, and kept casting.

And as every angler knows…
A bad day on the lake still beats a good day doing just about anything else. 🎣💙

They had a heck of a day out at Melvern—one of only five teams to weigh in fish. Their two beauties tipped the scales at 3.9 lbs! 🐟🔥
