Giving Vintage Fabric New Life | My First Sewing Project

In this video, I'm sharing my very first sewing project: a crochet hook holder made from vintage textiles.

This isn't a tutorial, but a look at the creative process as I begin exploring sewing alongside my crochet projects.

One of the directions I'd like Smoky Mountain Stitches to grow is through giving old fabrics a new purpose. It's making the most of what we have, something that aligns closely with Appalachian values.

The end result isn't perfect, but every new skill starts somewhere, and I'm looking forward to seeing where this journey leads.

Check the Beehive With Me Today 🐝 | A Quiet Hive Inspection

Come along for a quick check on the honeybee hive and see how the colony is progressing. We'll take a look at several frames of comb, point out some of the different bees and their roles within the hive, and provide a little supplemental feeding for the colony.

There’s no music in this video. Just the natural sounds of the bees as we spend some quiet time in the apiary.
