THE DETAILS:
WHAT IT IS
On Saturday, October 22nd, in 5+ major cities, an inspired group of men and women will flood the streets to show the world in the most fashionable way we know how; wearing awesome, 90s-fabulous thrift-store ladies
’ pantsuits. WHY WE'RE DOING IT
Throughout Hillary Clinton’s decades-long career, perhaps her most iconic pop-culture contribution has been her fierce loyalty to the well structured, vibrantly colored pantsuit. National Pantsuit Day will exist to celebrate the singular woman behind this no-nonsense ensemble and to show the power of our collective solidarity in the run-up to the election, and the eventual defeat of literal evil. WHY NOW
Polls are showing that as of right now, young people still aren’t inspired to vote. If they don’t vote, we don’t win. So we want to create a sense of momentum and urgency to FOMO them into it. WHY YOU SHOULD COME
You want to start the bandwagon of support, not jump on it. We’re at a critical tipping point, and it’s up to us to push people over the fence. You want to help create a media spectacle. We’re the key to ensuring this party gets the attention it deserves. And like, omgomg you might be on TV. You want Hillary to win. Say you were on the right side of history. In a pantsuit. This will be f*cking fun. Think about how ridiculous and amazing this could be. WHAT'S GOING DOWN
In partnering with Daybreaker, the badass, socially-minded organization responsible for creating a global movement of mindful morning dance parties, NPD went from being just a march in NYC to a full blown national event. F*ck Yeah, Pantsuits! We now have confirmed shindigs in New York and Philadelphia, with details firming up in Dallas and Boston, and more cities being added all the time. If you can't make it to an official event, you can still be a part of it by snapping a pic of you and your friends in your snazziest pantsuits and posting to social media with the hashtag . The other big way you can help is by taking a minute to share the event with all your friends and invite anyone you think cares about this stuff as much as we do!
WHAT TO WEAR
