UPDATE:
Etsy has reached out with the reason behind my shop’s suspension. I can tell you it has nothing to do with any of my products.

* not for selling fake service dog gear
* not for selling “shock” collars
* not for selling AI images

Not that my shop ever did any of those things anyway. Every one of the items listed in my Etsy shop falls under the category of pet supply. All of those items have been designed and handmade by me.

I have acknowledged and corrected the violation. Therefore, Etsy has reopened my shop!

To celebrate, I am running a sale. Everything in my Etsy shop is on sale this weekend.

After 12 years and thousands of sales, I never imagined I’d be writing this, but my Etsy shop has been permanently suspended.

I’m incredibly disappointed and heartbroken. I’ve poured so much time, creativity, and love into building my small business, and Etsy has been a huge part of that journey.

While I don’t have all the answers, I do know that this won’t stop me from creating. Black Dawg Studio isn’t going anywhere. I’ll continue making products for dogs and their humans, and I’ll keep finding new ways to grow my business outside of Etsy.

At this point, Etsy has not given a reason as to why they decided to permanently suspend my shop, other than a policy violation. They will not tell me exactly what policy I have violated. I have filed an appeal but after four weeks, they have stopped all communication.

To everyone who has supported me by placing an order, leaving a review, sharing my work, or simply cheering me on—thank you. Your support has meant everything to me, and I truly appreciate each and every one of you.
