Honoring the Past, Stitching the Present❤️
We had the incredible honor of working on a vintage 1940s gown— This absolute treasure was owned by the brides’s grandmother who handmade this gown so many years ago. Seeing the original construction and old-school sewing techniques as we worked on this gown was like stepping back in time.
We kept the gown’s charm alive but gave her a modern twist: removed the sleeves, shortened the hem and cape, and lowered the neckline just enough to let her shine in today’s world.
Vintage meets now—and I couldn’t be prouder. 💫🧵
