There seems to be a lot of bears this year roaming the suburban streets — more than in prior years. This healthy furry friend was excited it was trash day on Candleglow today, seeing what the truck may have left behind!

There are a lot of pizza options in town, but we’re liking this one as one of our favorites, not based entirely on the pizza…Homegrown Tap & Dough hits the mark on vibes, we’re giving atmosphere a 4.5 out of 5. The pizza options are of the artisan variety and pretty good, we’re giving that a 4 too. Prices are amazing, given the quality and atmosphere. Service is friendly and attentive, but we don’t get the sense that restaurant gives a sit and hang awhile kind feel — more geared toward fast turnaround, as it’s kind of loud and fast moving. This could be because out of all three times we’ve gone it’s been busy and an ever-growing waitlist. We haven’t tried the pasta or burgers, but they look great and it’s nice to have other options especially if you’re going in a large group of mixed appetites. The salads are very good, with a creative mix of accoutrements that keep it interesting and premium — not just your typical garden variety 😉.

Good “clean” fun, or real irritation? Maybe if there were more entertainment venues in Castle Rock for teens, they wouldn’t be bubble bombing 🫧💦

The wildlife around Castle Rock never disappoints 🐾

Spotted this morning: one very confident coyote cruising through the tall grass like he owns the place. He even stopped to pose for the camera — honestly, better modeling instincts than most of us.

This is one of the things that makes living here so special. Deer in the backyard, hawks overhead, and the occasional coyote commuting through the neighborhood — all with the Rock in the background. We really do share this town with some incredible neighbors.
