Although I am an entrepreneur at heart, four curls inception and development was not based on my need to start a business. It was a mother’s love that started me down this path. As a mother it is my highest responsibility and desire to instill self love, self-confidence and self acceptance into my three smart, talented and beautiful girls. I was tired and frustrated at the lack of images and choic
es in clothing, fashion, style and decor that truly reflected my girls. I too had the same issues but it was not until I saw my girls go through this struggle that I was compelled into action. Yes there was an abundance of choices in these areas however, they just did not reflect me, my girls or my family. I spent an inordinate amount of my time and money designing, web surfing, traveling to and from and ultimately waiting for my creations to arrive. Everything from hair care and skin care products, clothing, in particular T-shirts with images, posters and magazines for my girls and you know of course black and brown baby dolls. Why as a community in 2017 are we going through this? These things should be readily available and on the shelves but they're not. As family and friends began to go through the same struggles that I was going through yes finally after 12 years I’ve come to the realization EVERY mother and daughter deserves a space and place like Four Curls. So we at Four curls no longer have a problem we have a solution. The Days of my black and brown mothers and daughters being put in the corner or on the bottom shelf are no longer. You can come to Four curls and know that we got your back. Four curls Is that place that puts black girl Swag, Flair, Uniqueness in the everyday products that we use to decorate, adorn, design and reflect our true Self. Four curls is that place where black girls rock and black women roll. We also are dedicated to working with and supporting fellow black artist, designers to bring amazing pieces into your homes. As often as possible we will also share with our community Information that is informative, enlightening and inspiring. Peace and Love
