Dress to small?! I can fix that! ✂️🪡
The majority of wedding dress alterations involve taking dresses in, but every once in a while my brides have a dress too small. In this case, the dress fit at the waist but needed a bit more space up top. With an added illusion mesh panel to the tulle/lace areas, we were able to comfortably button up the dress!

How would my seamstress alter my dress if it is too small?! Well, with some strategic planning we can hide a panel! Sometimes these panels are added at the side seams, sometimes at the center back, and sometimes along the princess seams. Your particular dress and figure will guide the best seam placement when necessary! Check with your bridal seamstress to see if something like this would be possible for your dress!

ALL THE LAYERS!
Yep a multilayered dress with horsehair trim and a petticoat is going to take lots of time to adjust all these layers, especially when the train is cut off to mark this skirt hem to floor length all the way around. Hemming your dress with a bridal specialist is a must for ease of movement on your wedding day!

My sweet bride had a dress that fit relatively well in her bust/waist/hips but the bodice was too long for her petite frame along with the sleeves being too long and large. With the following alterations we got her dress fitting perfectly:
🪡 Shoulder take-up
🪡 Underarm Sleeve take-in
🪡 Hem the lace sleeves with functional button placket
🪡 Resize/Reset the Sleeve at Armhole.
🪡 Lace fill in Center Front Plunge
🪡 Tushie Tuck
🪡 Hems
🪡 Overbustle
I love the way this finished look turned out! From swimming in the sleeves to fitted to perfection.
