Being home from work with a cold has brought on a desire to crochet something. I realized I haven't posted to this page in nearly 2 years. That's also the last time I picked up my hook. So I'm thinking I'll make this hat in this variegated yarn in black and shades of teal.

Poll: Is a PomPom ok to add to the hat if a 42 year old woman (me) is going to wear it?

I finished up this order of 4 messy bun hats just in time for Christmas. I have a few orders to do after Christmas and then I'll be caught up for the season. Merry Christmas everyone!

[UPDATE] Since posting this last night I sold the 3 hats I have made already, plus took orders for 6 more, so I'll have my hands full between now and Christmas. You're welcome to place an order but I won't be able to make it until AFTER Christmas.

It had been months since I crocheted. I just hadn't been in the creative mood. Then, I received a few requests for these Messy Bun Hats and I decided to give it a whirl. I have these in stock for sale at $20 each and I wanted to offer them to my VIP customers first. The colors are black, gray and almond.

Currently I'm making projects to use up some of my stash. I'm thinking by the time September rolls in, I'll be ready for some new yarn for the projects I have lined up.

Yeah I know, it's 95 degrees outside....who's thinking about winter hats? I am! This is a new pattern I tried by Whistle and Ivy called Puppy Love Heart Slouchy. See those cute little hearts? It's too small for my giant noggin and probably not age appropriate anyway since I turned the big 4-0 earlier this week. http://pin.it/EAXh3Us

Since I finally finished the big project I was working on, I decided I was due for these practical topped towels.

A set of 6 dish towels with tops. No pattern used I just faked it as I went, so they are each a little different. I got pretty good by the time the 6th one was finished.
