How I became a vintage Booth reseller:
It's been two years since my 2 thyroid cancer surgeries. The first one went great.. the second one was an emergency surgery a week later after a hematoma developed that was the size of a tennis ball pushing on arteries 😬 I got half my thyroid removed.
I found out about my cancer while in my internship for my Master's at Meredith to finish up my degree in Nutrition to be a Registered Dietitian. I moved to Miami for 3 months as a traveling dietitian. Working in Intensive and long term care can burn me out fast. Although I truly love dietetics and still see patients via telehealth, I realized I've neglected the creative side of myself for SO long being in school for so many years.
Last year I decided to really nourish the parts of myself that I've neglected, those that make me feel the most fulfilled. It's obviously not for the money (most resellers are making minimum wage or less), but it really fills my cup in ways no other job has before.
After having cancer at 33 and going through a lot of medical trauma, I realized the need to follow a path that doesn't go against who I truly am and want out of life. I am creative, I'm an artist, and I no longer feel inadequate for just being that
