This AI thing is really incredible and I’ve asked myself recently, why did I wait so long to get on board?! Well I’ll tell you why, because I don’t like to put anything out there that I haven’t created myself.
I do think it’s great to use for design concepts especially for wallpaper and fabrics to give clients an idea of what it will look like in their space but I really try to be authentic on Instagram and for me, it feels like a slippery slope.
So for the last couple of weeks I’ve played around with it a bit and this is what I’ve decided. Creating elaborate vignettes with gorgeous fake rooms/backgrounds and lots of embellishments that are not your own feels weird to me. I see so much of it on here and it sets a level of expectation that is simply not attainable to most people and the sometimes the person posting hasn’t created any of these spaces. Most people that I actually follow are authentic and so talented but the lines are getting blurred knowing what is real when scrolling IG.

So all of that to say….where I think it’s going to be so useful for me is to put together pieces when I don’t have them all in one location or in a spot worthy of a photo….like our garage in Savannah! I have inventory all over the place between Savannah and Charleston and I travel a lot so being able to plug in a couple of my own images, give some instruction and get a nice pretty photo is a game changer! And I’m old so if I can do this, anyone can!😂

I will always prefer schlepping all the pieces into a space and making pretty vignettes for you to enjoy and hopefully buy from so don’t worry that this will be the norm!😆 I just wanted to be upfront and honest about what you see on my page, that’s all🥰
