⚔️ Weekend Five, Day Two ⚔️
Two weekends left. How did we get here already?!
These are pretty much the only pictures I managed to take today, and honestly… they tell the story better than I could have planned. 😂
The day started with me attempting to open the booth by myself, including whatever medieval engineering experiment is happening in that first photo. 😂
Then came the sacred faire ritual of:
“GET LIVY INTO THE CORSET.”
Which apparently requires leverage, determination, teamwork, and possibly a minor in structural engineering. 😂
And somewhere in between all of that, we had one of those interactions that makes an entire booth collectively look at each other afterward like:
👁️👄👁️
…did that really just happen?
Unfortunately, Krystal caught the brunt of it, and I'm still not entirely over someone getting THAT angry over a completely innocent character mix-up. 😅
But here's the part of today I actually want to remember.
We had a good day.
We laughed. We worked. We took care of each other. We helped people find what they were looking for, and more importantly, when patrons and friends needed somewhere they felt safe, welcome, or just needed a moment away from everything happening outside our little red tent—
they knew they could come to us.
And THAT means more to me than almost anything we've sold this season.
Lady Maillerie's is becoming more than the weird little chainmaille shop I dreamed up.
It's becoming a little place in the village where people know they're welcome. ❤️
Weekend Five is officially in the books.
Two weekends remain.
And apparently I need to add corset wrangler, tent engineer, emotional support shopkeeper, and keeper of the sanctuary to my résumé. 😂⚔️🌈
