Part 4 of our Crafted in America supplier series.
Every sweater starts as a swatch book, hundreds of yarn colors and weights, chosen one by one until the shade is exactly right. Then it’s spun, knit, cut, and sewn under one roof, the same way it’s been done since 1911, when Frank and Flora Reitzas started this mill in Fall River with a single knitting machine.
The result is that dense, 100% cotton texture you can actually feel the difference in, craftsmanship that’s been passed down for over a century, not a shortcut.
This is Fall River, Massachusetts, where the Merrow family has been perfecting that process since 1838.
